It is difficult to carry items into Gonaive so funds will be best although we plan to take some medications with us. Donations may be made payable to "EWOGM" with a notation in the comment section that says "WEI Haiti Aid" and mailed to Water and Education Int'l at P.O. Box 1088, Vallejo, CA 94590. WEI is our humanitarian organization formed to assist global communities. Donations made payable to EWOGM are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. These donations will allow the us to provide some relief when we travel to Gonaive which we will do as soon as they can figure out transportation from Port Au Prince and some manner of lodging in Gonaive.
Right now people drive so far, then walk through the waters or get a boat, then drive so far and do the same until they are able to get there.
